CAROLINA BIOLOGICAL SUPPLY RECEIVES COMMUNITY EXCELLENCE AWARD
David Lyle and Chad Petersen of Carolina Biological Supply received the award for Community Excellence Award to Carolina Biological — one of our most unique customers noted Ken Volpe, Senior Vice Preside of Oracle Commerce Product Development.
“Carolina leverages our platform to sell everything from bugs and frogs to beakers and microscopes to schools, teachers, parents, and students around the world. Carolina has been a successful customer for over five years, utilizing Oracle Commerce, as well as other Oracle products, including JDE and OBI,” Volpe added.
Volpe went on to state “David Lyle and Chad Petersen, as the IT and e-commerce leaders at Carolina, have been very engaged and supportive of our products. Chad Petersen, in addition to becoming a top user of Experience Manager, has been the Oracle Commerce Special Interest Group Lead for more than two years, developing our Special Interest Group into a forum of over 200 members.”
“David Lyle has been a great advocate for Oracle and spearheaded the creation of a new customer-led user group specifically for Oracle Commerce. He has invested a lot of his own personal time to launching this new group and working with partners, customers, and other leaders in our community to make it a reality. We are looking forward to its growth and success,” concluded Volpe.
ULTA BEAUTY RECEIVES OMNICHANNEL SUCCESS AWARD
“Ulta Beauty is a leading chain of beauty stores across the US, recently cited as one of the Top 50 US Online Retailers. They are on the brink of eclipsing the 1000 store mark and show no signs of slowing down. Annual online sales are approaching the 350M mark and overall revenue is nearing $5B, both of which were up double digits from 2016 – 2017,” Volpe stated.
“Much of their phenomenal growth can be attributed to the customer experience they provide. They have invested heavily into their loyalty programs and their omnichannel experience, leveraging Oracle Commerce and Oracle Retail Solutions. With integrated inventory and loyalty sync and new initiatives, they are able to provide incredible shopping journeys for their customers,” Volpe added.
CommercePros board members and ULTA Beauty commerce lead Jesse Amerson took the stage to accept the award.
“CommercePros is beyond proud of our board members for achieving such distinguished recognition,” noted Executive Director Anna Taylor. “We would like to congratulate them and look forward to working with them on their continued success with the Oracle Commerce products.
